Devastated Dreams - A Psychological Horror Game Featuring Filipino Monsters!

First off, I would just like to point out how cool it is to see our own homegrown mythical creatures get some international attention for once! Specially with a game of this polish and caliber.
I'm a big fan of the horror genre overall whether it be movies or in this circumstance--gaming.
And boy am I up for some heebie-jeebies, Filipino style!
And in this video, did I totally get what I asked for... Hahaha!

The game is very similar to the developer's previous game called "Neverending Nightmares"
which is set in an ominous hand-drawn world covered in a thick blanket of shadow.
While the gameplay, mechanics, and visual direction looks pretty much alike, the story is very different.  In "Devastated Dreams", you play as a Filipino woman named Angel who lives in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, in the rural province of Aklan. As a Filipino, I am more than familiar of the rumors that surround the place. The horrors that await the player are abundant in the least. For one, the devastation caused by Typhoon Yolanda a few years prior is still apparent, which will seemingly play a role in the game itself. Most importantly, though, is Angel's pregnancy. As Angel, players will have to flee from aswang, mythological creatures rooted in Filipino folklore. Examples of these entities include the manananggal, tiyanaks, and the tik-tik--all creatures that us Filipinos are very aware of growing up hearing the stories and alleged sightings of them.

It plays very well and has a relatively extensive length for a demo.
And most important, is that it is legit scary!
